Satire is so incredibly important. I read Swift's "A Moderate Proposal" in college, which is out loud funny. Almost the entire Mel Brooks catalog is first-rate satire, but of course, "The Producers" is the jewel in the crown.

My first period work-study position as a senior in high school permitted me to (1) make the daily announcements over the public address system, and (2) operate a nearly identical ditto machine (or spirit duplicator) on a daily basis. Although it surely explains the brain damage I suffered in my youth...what a rush!
On May 5, 2015, an EF-1 tornado hit my mother's home in the small Nebraska town of Roseland. As tornados go, EF-1 is pretty weak, but my mom's home was in the path of the storm, and her house was lightly built. The twister lifted the structure off its foundation, tore off the roof, and placed both in the backyard. You can see her house in this video at 2:50 minutes.
It may be in poor taste, but the commercials for PooPouri (a real product) are clever, funny, and catchy. I don't think the woman who stars is actually British (although I'm not certain, but she is delightful. Let's face it...farts are funny. These commercials (and there are many more) prove it. I dare you to not fall on the floor in hysterics at any of the three clips in this series.
