It feels surreal that my six years of education with Sudbury, something that has been one of the biggest parts of my life over those years, is coming to its conclusion.
Sudbury education is a journey, where the student travels and meets different people along their way. Each different person that they meet are similar in some ways, but vastly different in others. Eventually the student will find a person with whom they click, and that is when the student has found their identity. In case it isn't obvious, the people that the student meets on their travels represent the student themselves, at different points throughout their Sudbury journey. Finding the person that best reflects them signifies the end of their Sudbury learning journey.
Of course, someone's learning journey doesn't end when they graduate Sudbury, or at least, it shouldn't. Life after Sudbury will often mean much more personal growth. In my case, life after Sudbury will mean more independence, and a stronger sense of adulthood and maturity, as I work and prepare to pursue my dream of studying Jazz in University.
