Greetings,
I am Sean D. Haeussinger, II, and I studied Applied Psychology with a Research minor at Johnson & Wales University. I have technical and customer–service experience from my role as a Work–study Employee for the Johnson & Wales IT Department. For instance, while my team was actively working on the Lab 1 printer in the Academic Center recently, I had referred students to printers in other parts of the facility. Likewise, as part of routine lab checks, I had informed a third party servicing printers for the University about technical difficulties as they occurred, delegating to the Office of Campus Safety & Security in cases of suspected vandalism.
Having served as the Academic Senator for my alma mater's Student Government Association, I also acted as a liaison between students, faculty and staff. I referred students to University resources as needed. Additionally, I had been discussing issues of University policy with administrators, per my commitment to protect the interests of the student body. A project I had with the University was to help Campus Safety & Security formulate a restorative–justice program as a diversion to minimize the number of students going through the Community Standards & Conduct process, fairly or unfairly. This was the first step in Conduct reform at Johnson & Wales, and these experiences have helped me develop communication channels between various stakeholders in a University system.
In conclusion, I think I would be a great fit for the role, given my experiences providing customer service to students and partnering with faculty and staff in a variety of roles at Johnson & Wales. Please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Sean D. Haeussinger, II
