Today our group departed from Dong Thap University at 9 am to Tan Son Nhat international airport. Our team has 5 members:

And I am Do Thi Kieu Nhi (Annie).

After 5 hours in the car, at 2 pm we arrived at the airport. Our group had 2 hours to check in at the airport. At 16:35 our plane flew from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok, Thailand. This is my first time on a plane and also my first time going to another country. I am excited because I will be able to go to a new land, study and have many new experiences in Thailand. But I'm also very worried because I'm afraid I won't get used to the new environment and I'm afraid I won't be able to do my job well.

My flying experience was wonderful. I sat next to the window of the plane and could see the beautiful view of the city when the plane took off and the whole view of Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok when the plane landed.

We arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok, Thailand at 19:00. We were picked up at the airport by two teachers from Nakhon Sawan Rajabhat University. We arrived at school at 10 p.m., I was checked in to the dormitory, and my friend Iris and I shared a room. My room is very comfortably equipped with a bed, desk, wardrobe, air conditioner and fan. We had a peaceful evening.

My first day in the land of the Golden Temple started at 6 am, I woke up and prepared for the new day to meet new friends in Thailand. At 7:30 a.m., my group and I went to meet friends in Thailand. I met 5 friends: Warissara Wk, Nut Natthapol, Kanittha Nontasri, Piyada Mathuros, Teerada Banglung. We had our first breakfast together in Thailand. Because I'm a vegetarian, my food is scarce. I searched for a long time to find vegetarian food. But we all had a great breakfast during the day.

    You enthusiastically guided us to the school and took us to another campus of Nakhon Sawan University to visit. My friends and I took the bus there, the experience of taking a bus in Thailand was also very special for me. When I arrived, I was truly overwhelmed by the design of the school and its vastness. Everything is very beautiful and extremely modern. We had a short discussion with students of the Department of English Education, Faculty of Education. Everyone here is very friendly, dedicated and fun. After the activity, I had lunch with my friends and tried the Thai milk tea they bought for me. The new friends are wonderful, extremely kind and fun.

After lunch, at 12 o'clock we discuss the observation schedule and teaching schedule at school. Our group of 5 people will be divided into 2 groups, 1 group of 2 people is Trudy and Anna, 1 group of 3 people is Dat, Iris and me.

After that, our friends took us to visit the school. I went to the school's Great Hall, Student Dormitory and Anthropology Department.

Next, I went to BigC to buy a Thai SIM and withdraw money.

During this day, we experienced all the Thai public transportation such as buses and modified “Thai” tuk-tuks.

        At 5 pm, we continued to go to the local market to buy some necessary items. Thai markets are truly vast and rich in so many things and foods. Many delicious dishes but quite spicy for me. However, I also have many new experiences when enjoying Thai cuisine.

This morning, Dat and Iris and I walked down to the market, but when we arrived, we learned that the market in Thailand is only open in the afternoon. In Vietnam, the market will be held in the morning and people will go to the market in the morning. We were a bit surprised by this. It was an interesting experience for me.

At noon, my friends and I were taken by two male friends from the Foreign Language Education Department to visit the school's library, which is an entire building with up to 7 floors. The library is very modern and has all the amenities, equipped with a large book store, computers, cinema, karaoke, group meeting place for students and a place to rest after stressful classes. The school library is great for studying.
