We are excited that we are going to launch our second Shut-up-and-ePortfolio*.
When: Wednesday 8 December at 12.00-13.00 hrs (Brisbane time)
Where: Virtual meeting via Zoom (will send to your email if you register through the following form)
Topics:
We worked on our own ePortfolios for two sessions (25 minutes for each session with a 5-minute break between the sessions).
*We borrowed this term from ePortfolios Australia.
When: Monday 22 November at 12.00-13.00 hrs (Bangkok time)
Where: Virtual meeting via Zoom
What we did:
About 17 members joined our first shut up and ePortfolio on 22 November 2021 (3-4 pm Brisbane time). Because it was our first session and most of us had not created our ePortfolios yet, we decided to work together step-by-step on how to create ePortfolios using Google Sites. We did that from 3-3.45 pm and spent the last 15 minutes working on our own ePortfolios.
How did it go?
We had some challenges due to different time zone, in which we saw some members join the Zoom at 12 pm Brisbane time. We should find a way to communicate more effectively.
If you joined us, please share what you think about the session and what you hope we should run SUAE sessions in the future.
What's next?
We have decided to run another session in the upcoming week.
*We borrowed this term from ePortfolios Australia.
What we did
We started off this special event by welcoming messages from Dr Siti Mufflichah, one of the project organisers and Dr Ethel Agnes Pascua-Valenzuela, Director of SEAMEO Secretariat.
Dr Nantana Taptamat, a lead organiser introduced the project "Learning together through SEAMEO- AUS EduLink: Practices and Principles for Collaborative Pedagogy and Assessment using ePortfolios."
Nantana also demonstrated how to access and navigate the SEAMEO-AUS EduLink platform, online course interface and SEAMEO-AUS EduLink website.
We finished off with Q&A sessions, in which we received quite a number of questions from our valued members. Thank you for your active engagement.
Outcomes
Our members have better understanding of the project. We observe they engage with each other and the course meaningfully. This is essential because, without member participation, the community is just like an abandoned house!
We attended the online ePortfolio forum hosted by ePortfolios Australia.
When: 20-21 October 2021
Where: Virtual conference. The forum program can be accessed through this link.
What we did
Nantana and Siti participated in a range of presentations and workshops.
Nantana developed a digital poster and shortened paper (700 words) and presented in two sessions: Digitally interactive posters and shortened (peer-reviewed paper) presentations.
Outcomes
We published one peer-reviewed paper.
We built and expanded connections and introduced SEAMEO-AUS EDULINK to the community of practice.
Nantana were able to get in contact with the potential guest speakers who were willing to share their expertise with our community.
We gained some insight into how we could implement the program.
Several participants pointed out resources and contact details of potential partners.
Nantana included some information/knowledge/skills gained from the forum in our courses.
When: August to November 2021
Where: Brisbane and through online collaboration with Thai teachers who are willing to help examine the platform.
What we did
Nantana Develop the online community with embedded courses and invited 4 Thai teachers to test the platform and courses.
The pilot group tests the platform and provides feedback.
Outcomes
The platform and core courses are ready for the next phase of project implementation.
When: 8 June 2021
Where: Virtual conference
What we did: SEAMEO and the Australian government representatives delivered congratulations messages for our project. We had an opportunity to express our gratitude for selecting our project.
Outcomes
Our project received recognition and we were able to appreciate other excellent projects.
When: May 2021
What we did
Nantana developed a project proposal and asked whether Siti wanted to collaborate. Nantana also created the promo video (on the left) to accompany the proposal submission.
Outcomes
Our project was awarded the 2020/2021 SEAMEO Australia Education Links Award.
