COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course covers the fundamental knowledge to gain competencies in operating lathe machine equipment that can be applied in the maintenance of shipboard operation. 

The specific operational activities identified in this course shall prepare the trainees in safe performing lathe machine operation that lead them to an effective engine personnel working on board.

The activities will focus on the different safety operation activities on lathe machine equipment such as the fundamental operation and Safety on Lathe Machine, proper procedure of measuring work piece using Vernier Caliper and Micrometer, the use of Dial Indicator for precise centering, and techniques of different cutting operation.

For as much as detailed description of what is to be taken for the entire weeks of training, the modules will be discussed and tackled below.
