COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course is designed to enhance the knowledge that meets the minimum requirements of competence for engine officers that prescribed on significant Section of A-III/1, A-III/2 and A-III/6 of 2010 STCW Manila Amendments and complying with the recommendation of Section B-III/2 that heightened the safety feature of electrical work, safe practices, procedures and precautions be taken to maximize the safety of engine personnel working High Voltage above 1,000 volts onboard. It covers discussion, hands-on/practical activities and assessment in safe operation, testing procedure and maintenance from low to high voltage electrical systems and equipment.
The modules of this course shall be given appropriate time allocation for both theoretical and practical applications in a safe training environment.
