If you want a heavy-duty, 360-degree protective shell that seals your JBL Tune 130NC charging case against dust and drops while attached to a bag, choose Seadream Silicone Case; if you need a lightweight magnetic lanyard that keeps your earbuds secure around your neck during active movement for children, choose GEEKRIA Earphone Magnetic Anti-Lost.
• Seadream Silicone Case: Offers complete enclosure protection with a waterproof design and carabiner clip, but is limited strictly to the JBL Tune 130NC TWS model and does not function as a wearable strap. Best for parents who want to prevent loss by attaching the charging case securely to a backpack or purse.
• GEEKRIA Earphone Magnetic Anti-Lost: Provides a flexible, wearable silicone strap with a strong magnet to lock earbuds in place across multiple JBL models, but offers no impact protection for the charging case itself. Best for active children who need their earbuds accessible around the neck without the risk of them falling out during play.
The Seadream Silicone Case is designed as a dedicated shield for the JBL Tune 130NC TWS earbuds and their charging pod. Its primary function is not to be worn, but to encase the entire charging unit in a rugged, soft silicone shell. This design choice addresses the most common point of failure for wireless earbuds: the charging port getting clogged with lint, dust, or moisture. The product features an upgraded dust guard specifically engineered to keep the charging port clean and sealed when the device is not in use.
For families with children, this case provides a layer of "heavy duty protection" that absorbs shocks from accidental bumps or drops. The material is described as skin-friendly, odorless, and lightweight, ensuring that adding the case does not make the earbuds cumbersome to handle. A key feature here is the metal carabiner clip included in the package. This allows the user to easily attach the protected charging pouch to a handbag, backpack, or belt loop. This is a critical safety measure for younger users who might struggle to manage small electronic devices on their own; if the case is clipped to a bag, the earbuds stay put even if the child runs off.

However, this solution has a very specific limitation. It is built exclusively for the JBL Tune 130NC TWS. If a family owns a different model of JBL earbuds, this case will not fit. Furthermore, it does not solve the problem of losing the earbuds inside the case or dropping them while taking them out. It only secures the case itself. It is also worth noting that while it is waterproof and shockproof, it adds bulk compared to using the bare charging case. Parents looking for a minimalist accessory that doesn't change the form factor of their device should think twice before choosing this bulky option.
The GEEKRIA Earphone Magnetic Anti-Lost strap takes a completely different approach to preventing loss. Instead of protecting the case, it transforms the earbuds into a wearable necklace. This accessory uses a strong magnet to hold the earbuds tightly together, ensuring they don't separate and get lost in a pocket or under a desk. The strap itself is made of soft silicone with a high-gloss finish, offering good flexibility and durability. This makes it comfortable for a child to wear around their neck for extended periods without irritation.
The versatility of this product is its standout feature. Unlike the Seadream case which is locked to one model, the GEEKRIA strap is compatible with a wide range of JBL models including the Vibe Beam, Tune Flex, Tune 230NC TWS, Live Beam 3, Live Pro 2 TWS, and several others. This future-proofs the purchase for families who might upgrade their audio gear later. The design includes a microphone opening at the bottom of the strap, allowing children to continue using the microphone functionality even when the earbuds are hanging around their necks. This is particularly useful for low latency over ear headphones for children used for remote learning or video calls where voice clarity is essential.
This product is ideal for high-energy environments. Whether a child is cleaning the house, running, working out at the gym, or just playing outside, the magnetic lock prevents the earbuds from swinging wildly and hitting hard surfaces. It alleviates the anxiety of potential falls because the earbuds are physically tethered to the child's body. However, it is important to understand that this is an anti-lost strap, not a protective case. It does not shield the earbuds from scratches, water, or impact damage. If a child drops the earbuds from a height while wearing the strap, the silicone cord will stop them from hitting the floor, but it won't absorb the shock if they land on a sharp edge.
• Best for total environmental protection → Seadream Silicone Case. If the priority is keeping the charging port dust-free and shielding the electronics from rain or mud, the full enclosure of the Seadream case is superior.
• Best for active, hands-free wearability → GEEKRIA Earphone Magnetic Anti-Lost. If the goal is to keep earbuds attached to a child's neck so they don't fall out of pockets or onto the ground during play, the magnetic strap is the clear winner.
• Best for model flexibility → GEEKRIA Earphone Magnetic Anti-Lost. The GEEKRIA strap works with ten different JBL models, whereas the Seadream case fits only the Tune 130NC.
• Best for securing the charging unit → Seadream Silicone Case. The included carabiner clip allows the entire charging case to be clipped to a bag, keeping it safe when the earbuds are being used separately.
• Best for microphone access while resting → GEEKRIA Earphone Magnetic Anti-Lost. The dedicated microphone opening ensures voice input remains functional even when the earbuds are hanging around the neck.
• Best for impact resistance → Seadream Silicone Case. The thick silicone rubber construction is rated for shock absorption, whereas the GEEKRIA strap relies on stopping the fall rather than cushioning the impact.
• Best for long-term value across upgrades → GEEKRIA Earphone Magnetic Anti-Lost. Because it fits many models, this accessory can be reused if the family switches to a newer JBL headset.
• Best for simple, solid color aesthetics → Seadream Silicone Case. The Seadream comes in a solid black and white pack, offering a clean look that matches the original device.
In my opinion, for a household with children, I would recommend the GEEKRIA Earphone Magnetic Anti-Lost as the primary choice. While the Seadream case offers excellent protection for the charging pod, the reality of parenting is that the greatest risk of loss comes from the earbuds themselves falling out of a pocket or being dropped during active play. The magnetic strap solves this by making the earbuds part of the child's clothing, keeping them close and secure. The ability to wear them around the neck with a functional microphone opening adds a layer of utility that a simple case cannot provide. That said, if you already have the Seadream case for protection, you could arguably use both, but if you must pick one for peace of mind regarding active kids, the wearable safety of the GEEKRIA strap is the more practical investment.
The GEEKRIA Earphone Magnetic Anti-Lost is superior for sports because the magnetic strap keeps the earbuds secured around the neck, preventing them from bouncing loose during vigorous activity.
