The website www.seadog.ai and related websites, services, and applications that make up the Seadog Service Platform are owned and operated by Seadog Fishing Solutions, Inc. We value the privacy of users of the Seadog Service Platform (collectively or individually “Users”). This section specifically addresses the information you provide to us or that we learn from your use of the Seadog Service Platform and tells you how we may collect information. Seadog Fishing Solutions, Inc. will not sell your personally identifiable information to third parties.
Information You Provide
When you apply or register for any service through the Seadog Service Platform, or directly via telephone or in person, we may collect information about you to assist us in providing tools and services, supplying product information, or responding to your customer requests. We may also collect information when we contact you by phone, e-mail or mail. The information collected may include nonpublic personal information, such as:
Information about your transactions with us or others relating to fishing practices and/or operations,
Information used to underwrite or establish your eligibility for products or services offered by Seadog Fishing Solutions, Inc., its affiliates or subsidiaries,
Information relating to the processing or administering of your customer account,
Credit or consumer reporting information or history used in the process of servicing or collecting payment on an account, and Payment information, such as credit card or other financial account information used as a means of payment to or from Seadog Fishing Solutions, Inc., its affiliates or subsidiaries.
“Cookies”
When you visit the Seadog Service Platform, we may send one or more cookies – a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters – to your computer or mobile device. Seadog Fishing Solutions, Inc. uses both session cookies and persistent cookies. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser and may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the Seadog Service Platform. By using these cookies, we can “remember” what you have done on the Seadog Service Platform before and personalize our site for you. These persistent types of cookies can be removed, but each web browser is a little different, so please look through your browser “Help” file to learn the correct way to modify your cookies set-up. Please note that disabling cookies may prevent you from accessing some of the functionality and site offerings available via the Seadog Service Platform.
“Automatically Collected” Information. When you visit the Seadog Service Platform or open one of our HTML emails, we may record certain information from your web browser by using different types of technology, which may include, for example, standard logging, “clear gifs” or “web beacons”. This “automatically collected” information may include your Internet Protocol address (“IP Address”) or other device ID, device type and operating system, web browser type, the web pages or sites that you visit just before or just after the Seadog Service Platform, the pages and features you access and use on the Seadog Service Platform, and the dates and times that you visit. In addition, our mobile application will have access to the following information and systems on your device: UDID, MAC address, or other applicable device identifier, phone state and identity, internet, SMS/MMS messaging, and location.
Location Information
The Seadog app collects location data in order to generate:
electronic reports of fishing trips, and
geo-referenced and timestamped coordinates of gear deployments and catches.
Location data is collected even when the app is closed or not in use. With this information, Seadog Fishing Solutions, Inc. provides analytical and organizational features for your media content, and personalizes your experience with the Seadog Service Platform based on your location (“Location-based Services”). In order to use Location-based Services, you must allow Seadog Fishing Solutions, Inc. access to your localized position through your mobile phone, which Seadog Fishing Solutions, Inc. may choose to accomplish through a variety of means, including GPS location, IP address, cell tower location, or other methods, as available. You will be given the option to automatically enable the provision of some Location-based Services through your device and/or through the Seadog Service Platform. If you choose to disable the Seadog Service Platform Location-based Services (whether through device settings or the Seadog Service Platform settings), you will not be able to utilize certain features of the Seadog Service Platform.
Children:
Consistent with the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of thirteen (13) without requiring parental consent. Any person who provides their personal information to Seadog Fishing Solutions, Inc. through the Seadog Service Platform represents that they are at least 13 years of age.
Use of Information
We take pride in the fact that the Seadog Service Platform, and Seadog’s approach to customer service is highly personalized, and we use the information we collect or that you provide in a variety of ways in conducting our business with you and our other customers, including the ways described below.
By giving us your telephone number, you consent to being contacted by that number, including if that number is for a cell phone or other wireless device. We may contact you in person, by recorded message, by text message or by other means of communication your device is capable of receiving, as allowed by law and for reasonable business purposes, including informing you about marketing promotions, collecting information on product improvements, and to service your policy with us. Note that sending and receiving messages from your mobile device may result in charges from your mobile carrier. Similarly, by giving us your electronic mailing (e-mail) address, you consent to being contacted at that address, as allowed by law and for similar, reasonable business purposes.
Seadog Fishing Solutions, Inc. and our affiliates use the information that we collect to develop, enhance, support, maintain, and provide all of the features and services found through the Seadog Service Platform and our other products and services, which includes:
informing you about training programs regarding the use of the Seadog Service Platform,
providing information for non-marketing or administrative purposes such as notifying you of major site updates,
performing customer service Operations,
sending you marketing and promotions material about Seadog Fishing Solutions, Inc.’s and third parties’ products and services,
optimizing your experience on the Seadog Service Platform by remembering information so that you will not have to re-enter it on your next visit, and
providing customized content, advertisements, marketing and information, and monitoring the usage and effectiveness of our website, marketing campaigns and other service and application features, in order to provide a better user experience.
Information We May Provide to Others
We are not in the business of selling your information. We do, however, disclose the information we collect and that you provide in a variety of circumstances in the ordinary course of operating our business, including the circumstances described below.
Except as otherwise noted in this Privacy Policy, Seadog Fishing Solutions, Inc. does not share your personal information with unaffiliated third parties unless doing so is appropriate to carry out a website user’s or consumer’s request or it reasonably believes that doing so is legally required or is in Seadog Fishing Solutions, Inc.’s interest to protect the property or other legal rights of itself or its corporate affiliates.
We may disclose nonpublic, personal information about our applicants, customers, and former customers as permitted by law or required by law, and in performing our normal business and insurance operations, such as:
when performing normal service operations,
when performing normal service operations associated with your account,
when our customer support operations engage to review or respond to a customer inquiry,
when our legal support team handles a legal dispute or is required to provide information in the course of litigation,
when we are required to provide information to a government agency in response to an audit, exam, inquiry or data request,

In addition to affiliates and service providers, Seadog Fishing Solutions, Inc. may share aggregated, non-personally-identifiable information with interested third parties to assist them in understanding the usage patterns for certain content, services, advertisements, promotions, and/or functionality on the Seadog Service Platform. This is aggregated data and will never include your personal, nonpublic information.
Social Sharing
When you use any social sharing function we may provide to share our products, services and the Seadog Service Platform (e.g., sharing on Facebook or Twitter), your sharing activity will be processed through a third party’s site or service. These third parties’ privacy policies, not ours, govern the collection and use of the information collected on those sites.
User-Generated Content
If you use our user-generated content services, like posting a question, answer or blog on any public facing portion of the Seadog Service Platform, you should be aware that any personally identifiable information you submit there can be read, collected, or used by other users and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in these public forums.
How to Request Your Information
If you have questions about the information in your file or your policy file (with the exception of certain documents relating to lawsuits), please write to us and we will respond within thirty (30) business days. If you believe there is an error in the information, we will investigate and if appropriate, correct the information. You always have an opportunity to opt-out if you do not wish to receive marketing and promotional materials. Website & Data Security
Account Information
If you hold a customer, user or agent account, you may have access to personal information for yourself or your clients, and you may be able to update, correct, or delete your or your client’s member information and email subscription preferences at any time. To protect your privacy and security, we take certain steps designed to verify your identity before granting User’s member profile access. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information at all times AND FOR ANY TRANSACTIONS PERFORMED FROM THAT ACCOUNT.
Data Transmissions
No data transmissions over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Consequently, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk. Please note that email messages are not secure. Our security programs do not encrypt email messages. However, once we receive your transmission, we make reasonable efforts to ensure security on our systems through procedural, manual and electronic security controls which include identifying the information that should be protected and providing adequate levels of protection for those pieces of information. While there is no guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of firewalls and secure server software, we are committed to keeping our customer’s information secure and to maintaining compliance with all relevant state and federal requirements concerning information security. If Seadog Fishing Solutions, Inc. learns of a security systems breach, then we may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps. By using the Seadog Service Platform or providing personal information to us you agree that we can communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues relating to your use of the Seadog Service Platform. Seadog Fishing Solutions, Inc. may post a notice on the Seadog Service Platform if a security breach occurs. If this happens, you will need a web browser enabling you to view the Seadog Service Platform. Seadog Fishing Solutions, Inc. may also send an email to you at the email address you have provided to us in these circumstances. Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to receive notice of a security breach in writing. International Users
The Seadog Service Platform is hosted in the United States. If you are a User accessing the Seadog Service Platform from the European Union, Asia, or any other region with laws or regulations governing personal data collection, use, and disclosure, that differ from United States laws, please note that you are transferring your personal data to the United States which does not have the same data protection laws as the EU and other regions, and by providing your personal data you consent to:
1. The collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data for the uses identified above in accordance with the Privacy Policy; and
2. The transfer of your personal data to the United States as indicated above.
Modifications to this Privacy Policy
We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will also revise the “effective date” on the Privacy Policy. For changes to this Privacy Policy that may be materially less restrictive on our use or disclosure of personal information that you have provided to us, we will attempt to obtain your consent before implementing the change.
