The school counseling team (counselor and counseling interns) provides a data-driven comprehensive counseling program that ensures equity, access, and success for all cadets (students).
The school counseling team provides the following services:
1.Social/Emotional Counseling
2.College/Career Counseling
3.Academic Counseling
Our district utilizes the www.CaliforniaColleges.edu platform to ensure every student is future-ready. All cadets (students) have/will have their California Colleges account. The counseling team completes a number of lessons with all cadets in the classroom or on Zoom.
Academic interventions available once parent-guardian connects with teacher(s) and cadet/student utilizes opportunities offered by teacher.
Academic Interventions:
A. Helping cadet (students) create a SMART Goal. SMART is an acronym that stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-based and used to help guide goal setting.
B. Creating a back-on-track plan to meet graduation requirements.
C. Creating a back-on-track plan to meet A-G requirements.
