Colie Brice REnditions
Colie Brice REnditions
"I play a wide variety of covers from classic rock, to some outlaw country, to jazz and pop standards, the 80's, and newer song when it is something I can authentically vibe with. Primarily, I interpret time tested songs that are relevant to discerning music lovers of all ages.
I try to truly find myself artistically in the song and offer up unique renditions that while reverent of the lyric, melody and chord progression/harmonic structure, also leave plenty of room in the musical sand box for transposition, alternate arrangements, improvisations, elements etc.
These days I primarily perform solo acoustic gigs with a looper and vocal harmony pedal, but I can also offer piano lounge sets, electric cocktail blues on a stratocaster, MC/DJ services with PA & Stage lighting, etc.
I have the gear and facility to play for small intimate gatherings or over a 1,000+ in public settings.
My style for these types of solo acoustic gigs tends to be chillaxed and soulful rather than overy strident or peacocky. If you are looking for an over the top, life of the party type to lead drunken revelry, I am not that guy. If you are looking for an upbeat but emotionally nuanced, elegant vibe with a really good singer/instrumentalist to accentuate your special event and be directed by and sensitive to your preferences as a client, I might just be what you are looking for.
