UNG Gainesville has a wonderful resource for our students- Tumbling Creek Woods- a natural area connected to campus! The area has two creeks, beaver created wetland, mountain biking and hiking trails, and multiple habitat types. The area is used extensively by students for dozens of classes, undergraduate research projects, and as a place for recreation and wellness.
Unfortunately, trash does accumulate, especially when washed in from upstream, and twice a year SEA hosts cleanups to help keep our amazing university resource in good shape for student and community use!
