Halo, nama saya Ligaya A. Azcueta, 22 tahun, proudly from Cabugao, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. I am currently in my fourth year pursuing a Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Filipino at the University of Northern Philippines in Tamag, Vigan City.
Choosing to become a teacher has always meant more to me than simply standing in front of a classroom, it is about shaping minds, building connections, and continuously learning along the way. This belief led me to take part in the SEA-Teacher Batch 11 Program, where I was given the opportunity to experience teaching in Indonesia specifically at SMP- Lab - Universitas Negeri Malang. Being in a new country challenged me to grow, not only as a future educator but also as an individual navigating unfamiliar spaces, cultures, and perspectives.
This blog captures that journey. It is a collection of moments, both challenging and rewarding that shaped my understanding of what it truly means to teach. From adapting to different classroom environments to embracing cultural differences where each experience became a lesson that goes beyond textbooks and lesson plans.
More than a record of my teaching practicum, this space reflects my growth, my realizations, and my passion for education. It tells the story of stepping beyond comfort, discovering new strengths, and finding purpose in every interaction.
As you read along, I hope you find inspiration in the idea that teaching knows no boundaries and that sometimes, the most meaningful lessons are learned when we dare to go beyond what is familiar.
AGYAMAN, MARAMING SALAMAT, THANK YOU, TERIMA KASIH!🩵
