YOUR SOUTHEAST DISTRICT QUALIFYING SHOWS DEPEND ON YOUR INTENT TO QUALIFY INFORMATION BEING SUBMITTED TO US AND YOUR ENTIRIES TO THEIR SHOWS BEING SUBMITTED THROUGH THEIR SHOW SETUP IN A TIMELEY MANNER IN ORDER TO KEEP OFFERING THESE EVENTS TO THE DISTRICTS

2026 SED Qualifying Clinic's & Show's
Southeast District Approved 4-H State Qualifying Clinic
New Kent, VA @ Trimbath Farm - June 5th, 2026 at 10am
If you intend to show at any qualifying show please be sure to submit your information through our web page link below if you have not already done so. In addition to submitting your intent to show you must also register with that specific shows through their sign up.
This allows us to help the show producer and secretary know how many 4-Her's plan to attend, so they know to look for your Qualifying Entry and Registration at their sign in desk and allows us to know to look for it in return from the Show Secretary within the required time frame given so that it can be submitted to states in a timely manner.
**It is your responsibility to give the show secretary your information to be input in the states Qualifying form the day of the Show usually at the sign in desk!**

2026 Southeast 4-H FINALIZED Qualifying Shows and Show Series
Your SED $10 Qualifying Fee should be mailed by check to the (Southeast District Treasurer @ PO BOX 175 Victoria, VA 23974 )within 7 days of qualifying event completion. (Do Not Wait for an invoice or reminder please) Make Payable to: SED4-H HLA LLC
** Qualifying is recognized as the act of taking the project animal into the ring under the eye of the judge for at least one class during the horse show and completing the class successfully in the opinion of the judge. Qualifying Deadline: 7/31/26
SKILLS TESTING

Will be hosting a Horsemanship Skills Testing Levels 1 & 2 & Driving Skills Testing Levels 1 & 2 Saturday, June 6, 2026 10am-4pm
Sign up date by June 1, 2026 Location: Thisldo Farm located at 5379 Blackwater Loop, Virginia Beach, VA 23457

Horsemanship Skills Testing Levels 1 & 2 for Horse & Rider * Horsemanship Skills Testing Levels 1 & 2 for Driving * Horse Measurement is available
Each 4-H club member must have a parent or a guardian present.

Adult Training for Horse Measurers, Horsemanship Skill Evaluators Levels 1 & 2 and Driving Levels 1 & 2 will be conducted also!
Adults must be a registered/approved 4-H volunteers.
Please present a negative Coggins test before unloading. A completed Health History Form and 4-H Equine Waiver are required; parents may show digital copies through their 4-H Online account. Each youth participant must have a parent or guardian present. Helmets are required when preparing to enter the ring and must remain on until after exiting the ring, following Virginia State 4-H Horse Program rules. Please bring a clipboard, pens/pencils, and a folding chair. Handouts will be provided. Register for testing or training by emailing Maura Britt at ballyshannonec@aol.com by June 1 at 5pm. Bathrooms are available on-site. Participants may bring lunch, snacks, and drinks, or should visit nearby restaurants.
STATES 4-H ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Virginia 4HOnline Horse Declaration Portal for the State 4-H Horse Show is now open!
Exhibitors must declare any animals they plan to show or MAY show at the State 4-H Horse Show in 4HOnline by July 1. This includes back up animals.
