2026 SED Scholarship Awards
The Scholarship committee working with NC Gates County 4-H Agent, Kelly Boone as our scholarship application judge completed the review in August and has selected the following applicants to be awarded these scholarships:
Coastal Equine Veterinary Services College Scholarship: $500 Morgan Logue
Virginia Congress Scholarship:$100 Madeleine McKown
Junior Rider Virginia Championship Scholarship: $250 Annabelle Becker
Senior Rider Virginia Championship Scholarship: $250 Brettin Trimbath
EquiSmartz Scholarship: $50 Shyro Prevost
There were no applications for Southern Regionals $100 or National Championship $100.

2026 Southeast 4-H FINALIZED Qualifying Shows and Show Series
Your SED $10 Qualifying Fee should be mailed by check to the Southeast District Treasurer @ PO Box 175, Victoria VA 23974 within 7 days of qualifying event completion. ( Do Not Wait for an invoice or reminder please) Make Payable to: SED4-H HLA LLC
$10 Qualifying Fee is only due to SED if you qualify at a District approved qualifying event, or Approved Outside Qualifying Event. If you choose to qualify at another Districts qualifying event you would not owe fees to the SED, you would then be responsible for paying that Districts set qualifying fee directly to them under their guidelines. You may at any time reach out to any SED Officer for further clarification if needed.
** Qualifying is recognized as the act of taking the project animal into the ring under the eye of the judge for at least one class during the horse show and completing the class successfully in the opinion of the judge.

**Atlantic Saddle Club Qualifying Show update:
**Due to the excessive rain we are making adjustments to our show for Saturday 07/25. Since this is a SED State Qualifying Show, we are planning to accommodate 4-Hers who need to qualify. ASC points will not be awarded. Please contact Karen Smith at (757)405-6810 if you are trying to qualify for the 4-H State Horse Show. **
