SE COMMIT Consortium Statement of Inclusion
The SE COMMIT Consortium recognizes the importance of diversity and inclusion and condemns all forms of racism and bigotry. The leadership team supports the anti-racism statement by the IBL Communities Project and strives to create a community dedicated to promoting teaching practices that affirm and give voice to students’ diverse perspectives and affirm students’ potential and belonging in the mathematics community.
With these commitments in mind, we will prioritize
Outreach to underrepresented groups, minority-serving institutions, and two-year colleges
Diversity in our group’s membership and leadership
Learning about and implementing inclusive and anti-racist teaching practices
Guidance from experts in teaching and from members of the BIPOC community
