"Inspiring the next generation of healthcare leaders"
CARE (Careers in Allied health, Research, and Education) Club is a sdusd committee that provides resources, training, and opportunities for students interested in pursuing or exploring a healthcare career. This club is open to all middle through high school students!
CARE Club was founded in 2024 at SDSCPA. This club was created to give students interested in health, both physical and emotional, a direction to follow.
"I started CARE at SDSCPA, a performing arts school within the SDUSD, in 8th grade. I was interested in healthcare, but found that the resources were limited for students who wanted to pursue something outside of the arts. I recognized that if I felt like this in 8th grade, there had to be at least a few other kids within SCPA's 300+ student body who felt similar. So, I passed out a survey to gauge interest in all grades within my school; it turns out I was right. Around 40 kids at my school felt similar, so I took action. Within two weeks, CARE Club was ready to be advertised at Club Fair." - Mari Larsson, President of CARE
