About us

The Data Science Initiative was founded by our president, Mcaelan Remigio, during his freshman year. As one of the few students studying Data Science at the time, he quickly realized that there was no dedicated community or club for students in the field. While taking a Statistics class, closely related to his major, he saw an opportunity to create a space where Data Science students could connect, collaborate, and grow together.

Recognizing the need for such a community, he took the initiative to bring together a group of like-minded individuals. With their support, the Data Science Initiative was established—a platform designed to unite students in the rapidly growing field of Data Science, foster collaboration, and provide opportunities for professional development.

We're the Data Science Initiative, a newly founded organization dedicated to helping Data Science majors and others interested in Data Science explore the field, gain practical skills, and connect with like-minded individuals.
