The 1st Amendment to the United States constitution protects many freedoms of the people including the following:
The right of a person to articulate opinions and ideas without interference or retaliation from the government.
The individual right or ability of people to come together and collectively express, promote, pursue, and defend their collective or shared ideas.
The unalienable right of a person to practice the religion of their choice free from government pressure and/or reign.
Different from free speech, the right to free press means that anyone can post their opinions on the government and government authority without legal repercussion.
