Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Set Decorators Society of America Scholarships. The SDSA Community Outreach Committee has organized 5 scholarships:
2 Scholarships for $2500 sponsored by Zello in honor of all who contributed to the Zello Support
fire relief efforts
2 Scholarships for $1700 sponsored by SDSA COC Silent Art Auction Fundraiser
1 Scholarship for $500 sponsored by RC Vintage in honor of KC Fox
The 2026 college scholarship is being offered to all members in good standing of the Set Decorators Society of America and IATSE Local 44 Decorators, Buyers, Lead Persons and Crew Members, supporting the SDSA. This offer is also extended to the children, dependents, spouses and domestic partners of the SDSA and Local 44. Anyone wishing to be considered for this award may download the application form below.
ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA:
All members of the SDSA and/or Local 44 (all crafts) in good standing, their child, dependent, spouse or domestic partner are eligible.
Applicants may be a junior or senior in high school, currently attending or planning to attend a junior college, university, graduate, post graduate program , or technical training.
Selection of our recipients is based on consideration of the student's academic record, SAT/ACT scores (if applicable), financial need and participation in school and community service.
Additionally, one essay describing the recipients goals, any obstacles that might prevent you from reaching them and how you are hoping to overcome them.
Students must complete FAFSA and list all Federal and/or State financial aid, grants or other scholarships.

The SDSA Scholarship Committee will review all submitted applications only after any identifying names and references to gender of applicants have been redacted. This will ensure impartiality and security of financial history.
Notification of the award will be made on April 2nd & awarded in person on April 16th.
Awards will be paid directly to the educational institution on behalf of and in the student's name after the student accepts the award. The award is earmarked for tuition, books & fees.
