Membership categories:
The membership of the Society will be one of the two categories: Individual, and Institutional/Corporate. Individual Members will be of two types: Member, and Life member
Admission and qualification for Membership
Member: Any person of repute & good conduct, holding a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution, who believes in the aims and objectives of the society and fulfils the terms & conditions of the society, may become a “Member”, subject to the approval of the Governing Body.
Life Member:
An existing “Member” may become a “Life Member” with the payment of a one-time subscription fee and subject to the approval of the Governing Body.
Institutional/Corporate Member:
Any Institution/Corporate Organization interested in the promotion of SDS may enroll itself as Institutional/Corporate Member on payment of the stipulated fees. An authorized representative, who fulfills the “Member” qualification, will represent the Institution/Corporate organization. He/she will enjoy all rights and privileges as enjoyed by an Individual Member.
Subscription of the Membership:
The subscription fees of different categories of memberships of the Society are subject to revision from time to time by the Governing Body of the Society.
Individual Member: Rs.500/$10 (per calendar year)
Life Member: Rs.5000/$100 (lump sum one time)
Institutional Member: Rs.10000/$500 (valid for five years)
Corporate Member: Rs.50000/$1000 (valid for five years)
(Post graduate students and researchers above 60 years of age may opt for up to 50% discount in the annual/lifetime subscription fee.
All yearly membership subscriptions will be valid till the end of the calendar year.
Annual subscription fee must be paid on or before 28/29th of February of the calendar year for renewal of the membership fee.
Refusal: The Governing Body of the society may refuse any person the membership provided the Governing Body records the reasons for such refusal which shall be communicated to the person concerned.
Termination of membership:
The Governing Body shall have the power to expel a member from the society on the following terms and conditions:
On his/her death or insanity
Non-payment of subscription continuously for more than three months or year (as the case may be) from due date.
On his/her written resignation.
If he/ she has not attended three consecutive meetings of the general body without any intimation.
If the conduct of a member is deemed to be prejudicial to the interests and objectives of the Society
Appeals:
All the appeals should be referred to the Governing Body. The decision of the Governing Body shall be final. The reasons for rejection shall be communicated to the person concerned.
Re-Admission:
In case of a member expelled by the Governing Body, the same can be re- admitted provided the member pays up all the dues to the Society. However, the decision of the Governing Body shall be final.
Right and privileges of membership:
Members will have free access to the website, social media, and publications such as bulletins, reports, newsletters, and journals published by the society.
Presentation of their research work in the annual “Dynamics Days (DD)” meeting.
Exemption or discounted registration fee for attending the Seminars/Meetings/ Training Workshops/Summer Schools organized by the society.
