Position: Community Services Clean Crew

Status: Temporary, transitional job

Rate: $14.50/hour

Schedule: Day time shift; 8AM - 3PM Tuesday-Friday

Position Summary: The purpose of this role is to work on beautification projects throughout the Fairhill-West Kensington area.

Responsibilities:

• Litter removal

• Removal of discarded needles (safety training will be provided)

• Sweeping sidewalks

• Shoveling trash

• Raking grassed areas

• Cleaning underpass areas

• Graffiti removal

• Poster removal

• Emptying trash bins

• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

• Must be prepared to walk to locations and be on feet for extended period of time

• Able to lift, sweep, rake, and frequently bend

Requirements:

• Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions

• Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from coworkers

• Be on time for shifts located in Kensington/Fairhill neighborhoods

In response to the pandemic, the program has implemented protocols to ensure the health and safety of staff and participants, including the provision of PPE, allowing for social distancing, sanitation amenities (i.e. hand sanitizer, etc), and participant and staff COVID-19 symptom screenings, including daily temperature checks. We operate with health and safety at the forefront of our program.
