A collaborative initiative to support community innovation capacity in Calgary
Imagine if we had an active group of citizens collaborating across the Calgary innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem... what would that look like?
Members of our network have taken part in the Strategic Doing program, with support from Alberta Innovates, Platform Calgary, and a range of other community partners.
As the Strategic Doing team articulates its mission, they're, "Teaching people how to form collaborations quickly, move them toward measurable outcomes and make adjustments along the way. In today’s world, collaboration is essential to meet the complex challenges we face."
We're convinced that the approach has great merits in the Calgary community innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, and are working to build connections with like-minded Strategic Doing practitioners as one part of an overall collaboration toolkit. From there, we aspire to be able to support community organizations that would benefit from using a Strategic Doing approach to advance their objectives.
As a first initiative, we're seeking to connect with others who have capacity and interest in running Strategic Doing projects.
Ultimately, we want to be able to help a range of community organizations who are trying to make a difference
