Kevin Wayne VanLuven, 59, of Clarkston, was charged Wednesday with gross indecent exposure and malicious destruction of property under $200, according to Detroit Fox affiliate WJBK. He was booked into the Oakland County Jail on $2,500 bail.

On March 12, homebuyers hired VanLuven to inspect a home in Oxford Township, and the owners allowed the homebuyers' agent to enter and leave the home during the inspection.

While en route, one of the owners received a webcam alert on her cell phone stating that movement had been detected in the child's bedroom. At that point, she saw VanLuven masturbating, according to corroborating evidence.

But that's not all. While the cameras were recording, VanLuven picked Elmo up off the floor and "seemed to enjoy playing with the sex doll," according to the Royal Oak Tribune.

The homeowner then dialed 911, and while VanLuven was still checking, police showed up.

Initially, VanLuven told police he only touched the doll to check the electrical outlet, authorities said. When approached about the camera, he apologized and entered a guilty plea, the sheriff told reporters.

"Just when I thought I had seen it all, someone comes forward and surprises me with another disturbing act," Sheriff Michael Bouchard said at a news conference. "It's a sickening reminder that you have to be careful who you let into your home. The actions of these homeowners may have prevented the defendant from entering the homes of others.

If convicted, VanLuven faces up to two years in prison and a $2,500 fine. He was ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation and prohibited from being alone in a residence he does not own while awaiting trial. He was also prohibited from contacting the homeowner in Oxford Township.
