비파괴검사 & 비파괴 평가
Non-destructive testing and evaluation (NDT&E) enables the assessment of material properties and defect detection without damaging the target, using techniques such as ultrasound, thermography, eddy current, and X-ray. These methods are widely used for quality control and infrastructure inspections, including bridges and power plants. Our lab focuses on developing practical approaches to apply NDT&E technologies to architectural and civil structures, as well as broader industrial fields.
구조 건전성 모니터링
Structural health monitoring (SHM) involves using sensor data to assess the safety and condition of structures over time. It enables rapid evaluation after events like earthquakes and helps detect long-term deterioration, offering both safety and economic benefits. Our laboratory conducts research on sensing systems and algorithms to effectively apply SHM technologies to architectural and civil structures.
열화상 시스템
A thermography system captures the infrared radiation emitted from a surface to visualize temperature distribution and detect thermal anomalies. It is widely used in non-destructive evaluation to identify subsurface defects, material separations, and other hidden issues without physical contact. Thermography is especially effective for inspecting large areas quickly and is applicable to various fields including building diagnostics, mechanical systems, and structural health monitoring. Our laboratory explores thermography-based techniques and system integration methods to enhance their applicability to architectural and civil infrastructure diagnostics.
3차원 비전 시스템
A 3D vision system captures depth and spatial data to reconstruct the geometry of objects, enabling precise measurement of shape, displacement, and deformation. It is particularly useful for non-contact monitoring of structural components. Our laboratory develops and applies 3D vision techniques for damage detection and condition assessment in architectural and civil structures.
