POZabilities began in 2000 when a small group of HIV-positive men in San Diego started meeting for coffee as a drug-and-alcohol-free social alternative to bars. They wanted safe ways to connect, support each other, and build community.
Officially becoming a 501(c)(3) charity in 2015, POZabilities evolved into an inclusive network for all people living and thriving with HIV/AIDS in San Diego.
Town halls, workshops, and sharing of scientific research focused on treatment updates, wellness, and navigating life with HIV.
Structured exercise programs including hiking, biking, and strength/mobility group training; yoga classes; and dedicated nutrition education workshops.
Active alcohol- and drug-free activities to promote stable, healthy lifestyles.
Weekly coffee meetups, community bonfires, movie nights, potlucks, picnics, and other social events.
A comprehensive online library covering topics like AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), Case Management, Food Resources, Local Pharmacies, OA-Hipp Insurance Enrollment, support groups, and more.
