Sohan is a third-year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of California, San Diego. His favorite subjects are math, physics, and robotics. In his free time, Sohan likes to hang out with friends and go to the gym.
Sohan has been volunteering with younger students throughout middle school and high school, teaching concepts and assisting with day-to-day school work. Sohan went on to run a tutoring service in high school.
Sohan has been involved in robotics since middle school and has reached state and national level competitions, breaking school records along the way. As a Mechanical Engineering major, Sohan is pursuing a specialization in Robotics & Controls.
Derek is a third-year Business Economics major at the University of California, San Diego. Something interesting about him is that he played baseball at a high level of competition and even won his high school’s state championship.
His favorite subjects are Math and P.E. In his free time, Derek likes to surf, stay in shape by lifting at the gym, and compete in sports at UCSD.
Derek has familiarity with tutoring young students with many subjects and concepts. He also has experience being a camp counselor for kids between the ages of seven through fifteen where he ran baseball camps with many activities. As he has done before as a camp counselor, he is very eager to develop and see major growth in his students.
Jeffrey is a third-year Cognitive Science with a Specialization in Machine Learning major and Computer Science minor at the University of California, San Diego. He has been coding since elementary school and is well versed in many programming languages, including snap, Python, Java, and C.
His favorite subjects are programming and mathematics. Outside of school, Jeffrey loves cooking and drawing, along with working out at the gym.
Jeffrey has experience tutoring younger students over a multitude of subjects. As a former Boy Scout, he is passionate about sharing his knowledge with others and helping them succeed.
Justin is a third-year Physics student at the University of California, Davis, where he has a passion for physics. Beyond the classroom, Justin is committed to a daily workout routine that contributes to his overall well-being. His fitness reflects his disciplined approach not only to academics but also to maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.
Justin has a strong background in community engagement. He has volunteered his time to assist 3rd graders in the classroom and has worked with middle school students, showcasing his commitment to education at various levels.
During his high school years, Justin was actively involved in sports, participating in both football and wrestling. He is currently on the path to obtaining his Physics BS degree and beginning to look into engineering for future jobs.
April is a third-year General Biology major with a minor in Psychology and Health Care-Social Issues at the University of California, San Diego. She is a native Spanish speaker, and additionally has taken advanced courses in Spanish language and literature.
Some hobbies include going to the gym, baking, and reading books. Her favorite subjects are Chemistry and Biology.
She does volunteering at local hospitals, and has experience tutoring students of many different age groups. In high school she mentored students in AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) from grades 9-11 in various subjects.
Richard is a third-year Computer Science student at the University of California, Santa Barbara. His passion lies in machine learning, natural language processing, and information retrieval.
Since high school, Richard has tutored a wide range of students from elementary school to college level in math, computer science, and even piano. He is fluent in C++, HTML+CSS+Javascript, Python, and Java.
In his free time, Richard enjoys playing basketball and cooking up new dishes (and projects). Richard plans on pursuing a PhD in computer science after his B.S. degree.
