Our Design Challenge tasked students with creating a bridge that spans an open space using Keva planks. This was connected with the picture book Listen to the Wind and how Greg Mortenson had to build a bridge in order to build a school in Pakistan.

• 2. 4 use technological problem-solving skills to determine the most efficient way for a structure to support a given load.
• 2. 6 use appropriate science and technology vocabulary including truss and beam in oral and written communication.
