Rob Gould has a BS in Applied Math from Harvey Mudd College (1987) and after a brief stint in the “real” world received a Phd in Math (Statistics) from U.C. San Diego.
He is the undergraduate vice-chair of the Dept. of Statistics, and director of the Center for Teaching Statistics. He enjoys consulting work, particularly if it is education related. Together with Coleen Ryan, he is the author of a textbook aimed primarily at the two-year college market. Introductory Statistics: Exploring the World With Data Analysis.
He is the founding editor of Technology Innovations in Statistics Education, an e-journal that publishes peer-reviewed papers work on the intersection of statistics education and technology.
