Graduated in October 2017 from the University of Turin with a degree in Animal Science and Technology of Animal Productions, earning the title of Doctor in Management and Production of Farm and Wild Animals. Her thesis was titled: "Nutrition and Health in Companion Animals: New Trends". She worked on both home-prepared and commercial nutrition for dogs and cats under the supervision of Dr. Liviana Prola.

Dr. Sara D’Agostino later completed a theoretical and practical course on home-prepared nutrition for dogs and cats in Bologna, led by Dr. Giacomo Biagi.

She also completed an Emergency First Aid course for veterinary technicians, focused on managing critical cases in an emergency setting, held in Salò with Dr. Gaglio and Dr. Bertoli.

In 2021, she obtained certification for dog training and education through an ENCI-recognized course titled: "ENCI Trainers and Educators Course - Section 1: Utility, Companion, Agility and Sport Dogs".

Since 2017, she has worked in veterinary clinics and practices, focusing on pet nutrition and bowl behavior training — assisting pets with incorrect feeding approaches and various nutritional issues.

She is currently part of the NutriTo Vet team, working in both nutrition and canine education.

She collaborates with DogsPortal, a dog-focused blog where she publishes educational articles, and with LampoVet, where she provides nutritional consultations.

She is a member of the Order of Agrotechnicians of Turin and serves on the Animal Science Advisory Board.
