These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Scythe, unless we clearly state that separate terms apply. They also explain important details about the Scythe Service (“Service”), outlined below. Please note: the Meta Terms of Service do not apply to this Service.
The Scythe Service is operated by Scythe Networks, Inc. By using our Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please do not access or use Scythe.
1. The Scythe Service
We agree to provide you with the Scythe platform, which includes all of our products, features, applications, tools, and technologies, designed to bring people closer to the communities, content, and experiences they care about.

We use information (from Scythe, our partners, and trusted third parties) to show you ads, offers, and sponsored content that we believe you’ll genuinely find interesting.Research and continuous improvement.
We use what we learn to make Scythe better for everyone, collaborating with researchers and conducting internal testing, surveys, and new feature development.
2. How Scythe is Funded
You don’t pay to use Scythe. Instead, businesses and organizations sponsor content and ads, which are personalized based on your activity and interests.
We do not sell your personal data. Advertisers simply tell us who they want to reach; we deliver their messages to the right audiences while protecting your identity.
You may also encounter branded content, where users promote products or services based on paid partnerships. Learn more in our Ads and Sponsored Content Policy.
3. Our Privacy Commitment
We collect and use your information to deliver Scythe. Our Privacy Policy explains how your data is collected, used, shared, and how you can manage it through Scythe’s privacy settings.
4. Your Commitments to Us
To keep Scythe safe and welcoming for everyone, you agree to:
4.1 Who can use Scythe
You must be at least 13 years old.
You must not be prohibited from using our Service under any laws.
You must not have had a prior Scythe account disabled for violating our policies.
You must not be a convicted sex offender.
4.2 What you cannot do on Scythe
Impersonate others or provide false information.
Violate laws or our policies.
Post harmful, misleading, or abusive content.
Tamper with or interfere with how Scythe operates.
Use unauthorized means (e.g., bots) to access Scythe.
Sell or transfer accounts or data obtained through Scythe.
Share others’ private/confidential information without consent.
Violate intellectual property laws.
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code without permission.
Use domain names or URLs in usernames without approval.
Attempt to bypass security measures.
4.3 Permissions You Grant Us
You retain ownership of your content, but you grant us a license to use, display, distribute, modify, and promote it according to your settings.
We may show your username, profile photo, and related actions (such as likes or follows) next to ads or sponsored content.
5. Our Additional Rights
We may change your username if it violates rights or policies.
Our own trademarks, designs, and media remain fully owned by us.
You need permission to modify or use our copyrighted materials outside the Service.
6. Content Removal and Account Termination
We reserve the right to remove content or restrict access if you breach our Terms, laws, or pose a risk to Scythe.
Content removal or account disabling will usually be explained unless there’s serious or repeated violations or legal limitations.
When you delete your account or content:
Deletion typically begins within 30 days and can take up to 90 days.
Some data may be retained longer due to legal, safety, or operational reasons.
We respect freedom of expression and balance enforcement carefully.
