Founded in 1989, the South Central Writing Centers Association (SCWCA) is a regional affiliate of the International Writing Centers Association. The purpose of SCWCA is to foster communication among writing center personnel and to provide a forum for professional concerns. Members include directors and staff of writing centers and persons interested in writing centers. SCWCA membership consists of, but is not limited to, individuals from Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas.

Since 1989, the OU Writing Center has been dedicated to helping students learn and grow throughout their academic journeys. Our peer tutors (both undergraduate and graduate students) engage with students via consultations, workshops, and events hosted by the Writing Center. Find out more about us on our website.
We welcome anyone interested in visiting our main space in Wagner Hall to keep an eye out on the SCWCA program: we are sorting out visits to the Writing Center!
