Volunteer Hours
SCV-FMC is looking for students in grades 6th-12th, to volunteer to help make our festival a success. Ask you teacher how you can get involved and volunteer to help, or contact Virginia Feitelson.
State Composition Festival Event & Contest
The State Composition Event is both a Junior Festival Event, and a State Contest Entrants earn Gold Cup Points, and Winners will go on to the Regional Level.
Deadline for Submissions is February 1, 2025
Compositions may be for keyboard, voice, other instruments, or any combination.
Your age as of March 1, 2025, determines your class.
Junior Class I - ages 9 and under
Junior Class II - ages 10 - 12
Junior Class III - ages 13 - 15
Junior Class IV - ages 16 - 18

State and National Music Week Essay Contest
This contest is open to all 7th -12th graders. Essay must be 500 words or less and based on the this years National Music Week theme

NFMC Regional Practice for Disaster
This is a regional community service projet started by Judy Prescott in 2022. Every year from September to October, students are invited to particate in raising money for a community in need within our Western Region. Students collect donations and pledge to practice for a certain number of minutes for 8 days straight.
