Connections between Stochastic Calculus,
Statistical Physics, and Optimization:
ELISE Research Workshop of the Program
'Theory, Algorithms and Computations of Modern Learning Systems'
20th - 22th June 2023
University of Tübingen, Tübingen, Germany
About
The workshop on "Connections between Stochastic Calculus, Statistical Physics, and Optimization" will take place from June 20 to June 22, 2023, in Tübingen, Germany, at the Castle "Schloss Hohentübingen". To attend all three days, it is probably best to arrive on the evening of June 19.
The main goal of the workshop is two-fold: i) we would like participants from the fields of stochastic calculus, statistical physics, and optimization to learn more about each other's fields to find new research directions of interest, and ii) we would like to foster potential collaborations among participants.
We expect around 25-40 participants, mostly international researchers in the field of stochastic calculus, statistical physics, optimization, and machine learning.
This workshop is organized as part of the ELISE / ELLIS Research Program on Theory, Algorithms, and Computations of Modern Learning Systems. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under ELISE Grant Agreement No. 951847. The University of Tuebingen generously provided a venue for this workshop.
