About Us

Established in 1977 as the Metcalf Center for Senior Citizens Services, the Smelter City Senior Citizens’ Center has proudly served the Anaconda community for decades. Located in the heart of Anaconda, Montana, our center offers a warm and welcoming space where older adults can stay active, connected, and engaged.

We offer a variety of programs and services designed to enrich the lives of local seniors, including fitness classes, social events, educational workshops, and access to community resources. In addition to our daily congregate lunches, we participate in the Meals on Wheels program to deliver nutritious meals to homebound seniors. We also provide transportation to and from the center, ensuring that all who wish to attend can do so safely and conveniently.

With a friendly atmosphere and a strong sense of community, the Smelter City Senior Citizens’ Center continues to be a cherished gathering place for friendship, enrichment, and support.
