Shelburne Community School (of Vermont) Parent Teacher Organization
The SCS PTO is made up of parents, caregivers, teachers, and our two co-principals.
The PTO relies on family volunteers to help us promote the school community and to raise money.
What Does the PTO Do:
Enhance the Educational Opportunities for all Students
Foster a Sense of Community
Support the SCS Teachers and Staff
Fundraise - We consistently give out more than $35,000 each year to support core student and teacher classroom needs not otherwise met due to budget constraints
It is our hope that every family at SCS will find a way to be involved and support the school, whether it’s through volunteer efforts, monetary support, or both.
Getting involved is easy, rewarding, and fun! We hope to see you at an upcoming PTO meeting or event.
PTO Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 6:00 pm (see calendar below for meeting dates)

Fall Fundraiser
Place your orders online from October 20-November 6. Click here for details!
The Fall Fundraiser is an annual fundraising campaign run by the SCS PTO. It's an online marketplace consisting of SCS spirit wear, an assortment of local and handmade products, and a national product catalog of gift wrap, gifts, and home goods (this year our national catalog is Charleston Wrap).
There are dozens of items in our local/spirit wear catalog, and thousands in our Charleston Wrap catalog, and you can shop BOTH catalogs to get your holiday shopping done while supporting SCS!
Proceeds from every sale will be distributed directly to teachers to support classroom needs.
If the SCS community shops to the tune of $15,000, we’ll celebrate with a school-wide dance party!
Dynamic Dates
Dynamic Dates is a "fun for all" fundraiser where SCS staff put together "dates" or outings and students can purchase tickets to try and win. It's a great way to get to know the staff at SCS and make memories that will last a lifetime. Examples of previous dates include: Tie Dye and Ice Cream, a Walk to the Country Store, a Hike up Mt. Philo, Build Your Own Pizza and Board Games, Movie and Make your Own Sundae, Brunch for Lunch, Watercolor Painting and many more.
