This privacy policy describes how ScrubGaming ("we," "us," or "our") handles data in connection with the BasketBallAR application ("the app"). This policy applies to version 8.0.1 and later. Prior versions of the app do not collect any data. By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
BasketBallAR uses Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google, to collect anonymous usage data. All data we collect is fully anonymous and cannot be used to identify any individual user. There are no user accounts, no login, and no way to link analytics data back to any specific person. This helps us understand how players interact with the app and improve the experience. The data we collect includes:
Gameplay analytics: Game start and finish events, gameplay statistics such as scores, two-pointers made, three-pointers made, total throws, baskets made, basket placement and movement events, and high scores achieved.
Technical events: Whether spatial permissions were granted or denied, and whether room scanning completed successfully or failed.
Device and connection information collected automatically by Firebase: Information about your device such as device model, operating system version, application version, country/region, and session duration.
What we do NOT collect: We do not collect any personal information such as your name, email address, username, or account information. We do not collect precise location data, photos, contacts, or financial information. We do not actively collect device identifiers or IP addresses. Firebase Analytics automatically generates an anonymous app-instance identifier and may use IP addresses for geographic approximation; see Google's privacy policy for details. We do not collect the Advertising ID. We do not access Meta Horizon User Data (such as Meta user IDs or profile information). The app requests hand tracking permission as part of the Meta XR SDK for controller interaction, but does not collect, store, or transmit hand tracking data. We do not access eye tracking, camera, or microphone data. Game session identifiers are randomly generated and are not linked to your identity. High scores are stored locally on your device only.
We use the collected data solely to:
Understand how players interact with the app
Improve the game experience and fix technical issues
Monitor the reliability of room scanning and spatial features
We do not use this data for advertising, user profiling, or any other purpose. We do not sell, license, rent, or share your data with third parties except as described under Third-Party Services below.
The app uses Firebase Analytics, provided by Google, as a service provider to process analytics data on our behalf. Google's use of this data is limited to providing the Firebase Analytics service to us and is governed by their terms of service and privacy policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
The Meta Quest platform SDK may also collect performance and usage telemetry as part of standard platform operation, governed by Meta's privacy policy. This data is collected by Meta, not by ScrubGaming, and is outside of our control.
We maintain administrative, physical, and technical safeguards designed to protect the data we collect from unauthorized access, destruction, loss, alteration, or disclosure. Analytics data is transmitted securely to Firebase and stored in accordance with Google's security standards.
Because all analytics data we collect is anonymous and cannot be linked to any individual, there is no personal data to correct or delete. If you have concerns about your data, please email us at scrubgamingstudios@gmail.com and we will respond promptly. Firebase automatically deletes detailed event data after approximately 2 months; aggregated, non-identifiable data may be retained longer.
BasketBallAR is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that data promptly.
Everyone is free to uninstall BasketBallAR at any time.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our data practices. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
