This Privacy Policy explains how ScrollTap accesses, collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you use the app.
ScrollTap does not require user registration. You do not need to create an account, provide your name, or provide your email address to use the app.
ScrollTap uses Android Accessibility Service to perform scroll gestures when you tap the floating button.
To provide this feature, ScrollTap may detect the current app or window so it can perform scroll gestures and apply app-specific presets.
Accessibility Service access is used only for ScrollTap features. It is not used for advertising, profiling, analytics, or tracking. Data from the Accessibility Service is not sent to our server.
ScrollTap uses Android’s “Display over other apps” permission to show a floating button on top of other apps.
This permission is used only to display and control the floating button. ScrollTap does not use this permission to record your screen or collect screen content.
ScrollTap can show a list of launchable apps installed on your device so you can create app-specific presets.
This app list is used locally on your device for this feature. We do not send your installed app list to our server.
If you choose to use the “Report a Bug” feature, ScrollTap may send the following information to Google Firebase / Firestore:
- the text of your bug report or suggestion,
- the date and time of submission,
- the app version,
- optional technical details if you choose to include them, such as device model and Android version.
Sending a bug report is optional. You can use ScrollTap without sending feedback.
ScrollTap may include a reviewer access feature for Google Play review purposes.
If a reviewer enters a review code, the app may fetch reviewer access configuration from Google Firebase / Firestore. The entered code is checked locally by the app. The entered review code is not sent to our own server.
ScrollTap may show rewarded ads. Rewarded ads are only shown after you choose to watch an ad in exchange for an in-app benefit.
ScrollTap uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK for rewarded ads. When an ad is requested or shown, Google and its advertising partners may process information such as:
- IP address,
- device information,
- Advertising ID,
- ad interactions,
- diagnostics,
- approximate location inferred from network information.
This data may be used to show ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and comply with advertising requirements.
For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, ScrollTap provides an advertising consent flow where required before loading ads. Where required, users can change or withdraw their advertising consent through privacy options in the app.
ScrollTap does not use Accessibility Service data for advertising or ad targeting.
ScrollTap offers optional Premium features through a one-time in-app purchase using Google Play Billing.
Payment processing is handled by Google Play. We do not receive your full payment card details.
ScrollTap uses Google Play Billing information only to verify and maintain your Premium status. Purchase data is not sent to our own server.
We may share or process data with the following service providers:
- Google Firebase / Firestore, for optional bug report storage and reviewer access configuration,
- Google Play, for in-app purchase processing,
- Google AdMob and advertising partners, for showing and measuring rewarded ads.
These providers process data according to their own terms, privacy policies, and data protection practices.
Where GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Core app functionality, including local Accessibility Service processing, Display over other apps, and app-specific presets: performance of the app service requested by the user.
- Bug reports and optional technical details: consent, because you choose whether to send them.
- Reviewer access configuration: legitimate interest, because it allows Google Play reviewers to verify restricted Premium features.
- Rewarded ads and advertising identifiers: consent where required.
- Premium purchases: performance of a contract, because this is needed to provide purchased Premium features.
Data may be processed outside your country or region, including outside the European Economic Area, depending on the services used by Google, Firebase, Google Play, AdMob, and advertising partners.
Where applicable, these providers may rely on adequacy decisions, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, Standard Contractual Clauses, or other appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Bug reports are kept for up to 12 months unless longer retention is needed to investigate a specific issue, prevent abuse, or protect legal rights.
Reviewer access configuration is stored in Firebase / Firestore for as long as it is needed for app review or testing.
Advertising and purchase-related data may be retained according to the policies of the relevant service providers.
You can:
- choose not to send bug reports,
- choose whether to include optional technical details in bug reports,
- choose whether to watch rewarded ads,
- change or withdraw advertising consent through privacy options where available,
- disable or reset your Advertising ID in Android settings where available,
- stop using Accessibility Service permission in Android settings,
- stop using Display over other apps permission in Android settings,

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- request access to your personal data,
- request correction of inaccurate data,
- request deletion of your data,
- restrict or object to processing,
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent,
- file a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you request deletion of a bug report, please include the approximate date and time of submission and the report text so we can identify it.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed through ScrollTap. Data sent to Firebase, Google Play, and Google services is transmitted using encrypted connections.
ScrollTap is intended for users aged 18 and older. The app is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
