2020: THE WAR OF THE LAURELS
Maestra Livia Zanna and Dame Daniela Schwarzhaupt are having a little spat over which medieval manuscripts are the most important for students to learn from. In order to prevent any more inkshed and graffitied calumny in the ladies' rooms, they have agreed to a little contest.
EACH MONTH, they will post two different manuscripts with source links. Any scribe that creates a piece from that manuscript (either court business or backlog- any level) can bring it to the respective laurel (either digitally or physically) for inspection, and IF REQUESTED, commentary and suggestions, or general geekery. ANY SCRIBE that COMPLETES all twelve months of manuscripts (for either side), will earn an EPIC PRIZE, and if anyone manages to get these two grumpy laurels to agree that one set of twelve was clearly the most impressively done, they will earn AN EXTRA EPIC PRIZE. And baby, when I say EPIC, I mean E-P-I-C.

Yes, accuracy counts. The point of this is to encourage detailed study of a particular manuscript style.
Yes, illumination and calligraphy must both be done for an entry to count, HOWEVER, IF a scribal team does twelve entries together, they are eligible for the EPIC prize. If an illuminator does twelve pieces, with three different calligraphers, the illuminator is eligible, the three calligraphers are not. Contrariwise, same for calligraphers.
Yes, you can chat with the laurel ahead of time about why they picked the manuscript they did and what they feel is important about it.
No, the manuscript does not need to be finished within the month. If you bring all twelve entries in December, you can still earn a prize.
Documentation not required except to tell us what materials and tools you used.
There will be no licking. This means you.
No, this isn't a North - South thing. This is a Neener-Neener thing.
