Welcome to Teleprompter Support
Teleprompter helps you create scripts, read them while recording, and adjust the teleprompter experience to suit your recording style.
If you need help, please review the information below.
Open Teleprompter.
Tap New Script.
Enter a title for your script.
Enter or paste your script content.
Tap Save or Continue.
Your script can then be opened in the teleprompter.
Tap Play to start scrolling through your script.
You can adjust:
Scroll speed
Font size
Text mirroring
Current-line highlighting
Tap-to-pause behavior
Play mode does not record video. It is intended for reading or practicing your script.
To record yourself while reading your script:
Open your script.
Tap the Camera button.
Allow camera and microphone access when requested.
Position yourself using the camera preview.
Tap Record.
Wait for the countdown.
Read your script while the teleprompter scrolls.
Tap Stop when you are finished.
After recording, your video will be prepared and you can use Share Video to share it.
Teleprompter uses your device's:
Camera — to record video when you choose to record.
Microphone — to record audio together with your video.
These permissions are only required when using video recording features.
If you previously denied permission, you can enable access from your device's Settings.
You can customize your experience from Settings.
Adjust the size of the script text to make it easier to read.
Adjust how quickly the script moves across the screen.
Mirrors the script for use with physical teleprompter setups.
Highlights your current reading position.
Allows you to tap the script to pause or resume scrolling.
Prevents the screen from turning off while you are using the teleprompter.
Choose how many seconds the app waits before recording begins.
No. Play mode only scrolls the script.
To record a video, turn on the camera and use the Record button.
Make sure camera permission is enabled for Teleprompter in your device settings.
Also make sure no other application is currently using the camera.
Make sure microphone permission is enabled for Teleprompter.
Yes. You can use the app as a standalone scrolling teleprompter without turning on the camera.
Yes. Enable Mirror Text in Settings or use the mirror control on the teleprompter screen.
Yes. After completing a recording, tap Share Video to share the recorded video using the available sharing options on your device.
If something isn't working correctly, try these steps:
Close and reopen Teleprompter.
Make sure your device has sufficient free storage.
Check that camera and microphone permissions are enabled.
Make sure your device is running a supported version of iOS.
Try creating a new script and testing the teleprompter again.
Restart your device if the problem continues.
