This Privacy Policy explains how Screen Time Control: Forest collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our mobile application.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We prioritize your privacy. We do not store any of your personal data on our servers. All your in-app data is stored locally on your device.

1.1 Personal Information

• Account Information: We do not create online accounts. Your display name and profile settings are stored locally on your device.

• User Content: We collect the text prompts you enter for the AI Chat ("Focus Coach"). These are transmitted securely to our AI partner (OpenRouter) solely for the purpose of generating a response.

1.2 Usage Data

• Activity Data: Your "Focus Sessions," "Streaks," and "Trophies" are tracked and stored locally on your device.

• Inventory Data: Your "Focus Points" and virtual items are stored locally on your device.

1.3 Device and Technical Data

• Device Identifiers: We may collect anonymous device identifiers for subscription management (via Adapty) and crash reporting.

• Crash Logs: If the App crashes, we collect anonymous logs to help us fix bugs.

1.4 Screen Time and App Blocking (iOS) 

• Usage: We use Apple's Screen Time API (Family Controls) solely to block the distracting apps you select during your Focus Sessions.

• Privacy: We do not collect, store, transmit, or view any data about your app usage, screen time habits, or web browsing history.

• Local Processing: All app selection and blocking logic is processed entirely locally on your device. We have no access to which apps you choose to block.

1.5 Financial Data

• Purchase History: We do not store your credit card information. All transactions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We verify your "Premium" status via Adapty.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data for the following purposes:

• To Provide the Service: To track your focus time and gamification progress locally on your device.

• To Provide AI Features: To generate chat responses based on your prompts.

• To Manage Subscriptions: To verify your "Pro" status.

• To Improve the App: To fix crashes and ensure compatibility.

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with the following third-party service providers strictly to operate the App:

• Adapty: Used to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions.

• Future Features: External video generation features are planned for future versions but are not currently active.

AI Disclaimer: When you use our AI features, your input data is transmitted to third-party AI providers. We do not use your personal data to train our own proprietary AI models.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

• Local Storage: All your user data (streaks, history, points) is stored locally on your device.

• Deletion: If you delete the App from your device, all your data will be permanently deleted. We do not have a backup of your data on our servers.

5. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
