Screen Mirroring - Fire TV ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Android application ("the App") handles information. Since our core function is local screen mirroring, we are designed to collect minimal data.
1. Information Collection and Use
For a better experience while using our App, we may require you to grant certain permissions. The information that is accessed is used and stored as described below:
Local Network Access: The App requests permission to discover devices on your local network (like your Fire TV, Smart TV, or Chromecast). This is essential to establish a connection for screen mirroring. We do not collect, store, or transmit your network details, device names, or IP addresses to our servers. This process occurs locally.
Photos and Media (Storage): If you choose to cast photos or videos from your device's storage, the App needs permission to read these files. The media files are read locally for real-time transmission only. They are not uploaded to us, stored by us, or shared with any third party.
Camera: If you use the "Live Camera" feature, the App accesses your camera to capture the live video feed for mirroring. This video stream is processed locally and transmitted directly to your selected display device. We do not record, save, or upload this feed.
Optional: Crash Reports & Diagnostics (Google Play Services): To improve app stability, we may rely on Google Play's anonymous crash reporting and diagnostics. This data, controlled by your device settings (in Google > Manage your Google Account > Data & privacy > App data saved from your devices > Choose whether to save app data from your devices), may include technical information like device model, Android OS version, and the state of the App at the time of a crash. This cannot be used to personally identify you.
2. Third-Party Services
The App utilizes casting protocols and technologies from third parties, such as Google Cast (for Chromecast) and Amazon's protocols (for Fire TV). Your use of these services is governed by their respective privacy policies:
3. User-Provided Content & Links
The App functions as a tool for casting content you choose. This includes:
Media Files from your device.
URLs or Links you enter for web casting or IPTV streams (M3U links).
Content from third-party apps like YouTube.
You are solely responsible for the legality of the content you cast. We do not host, provide, or monitor this content. We are not liable for any copyright infringement or illegal activity resulting from your use of the App.
4. Data Security
We value your trust. Since our primary operations are local, we do not transmit your personal media to external servers. However, remember that no method of electronic transmission over your local Wi-Fi or the internet is 100% secure.
5. Children’s Privacy
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
