Childhood

If I’ve learned one thing,

This is the most important:

DO NOT 

Rush to grow up.

Keep believing in Santa,

The tooth fairy,

And the Easter bunny.

Because before you know it

A glass rectangle

With a light illuminating off of it

And a case hanging on the back

Will suck your joy.

Hours of mindless scrolling

Millions of double taps, 

Fake people on screens

And soon

You forget about

Huge green fields, 

Blue swirled skies,

Magical playgrounds,

And all childhood fun

IS GONE.
