You could make a new scrapbook after resizing the scrapbook icons. Do the resizing in a blank file and Save as Scrapbook. If the icons are currently in the same scrapbook you could start by editing the scrapbook to get the whole page. Adjust the sizes and arrange the icons, adjust the paper size as needed and then save as Scrapbook.

My MIL uses Shutterfly for her photo printing needs, so I placed a big photo order with them. She also made an excellent recommendation to get a variety of photo sizes, not just 4 x 6s. So, I had several 5 x 7s and 8 x 10s printed (only with the professional photos since they were highest quality). I probably would have never thought to print 8 x 10s, but my MIL attested that it can look really great have a few pages where you feature a single large photo. And boy, was she right!

Thanks for this post. I am curious, how do you not become overwhelmed with all the pictures to choose from? I have been wanting to begin my wedding album and each time I begin, I have such a tough time picking my favorite images from our wedding. I just think they are all amazing! Any suggestions?

Justine sent me the most amazing text of shock and amazement, and then we shared a nearly 2 hour long phone call talking about it (among other things of course). She and Andrew were so touched, even moreso than I had hoped, which was the icing on an already tasty cake.

But trust me, I understand that some seasons of life are more conducive to scrapbooking than others, and you are commemorating the moments of your lives in so many other ways right now. So let there not be any guilt about scrapbooks unmade! Only anticipation of new, fun ways to celebrate what has been that allow you to really live in the present, so that you can make new memories. ?

Andrew, thank you for taking the time to comment here on my blog. It means the world to me, and I feel your gratitude so strongly. Cannot wait to see you and Jaybird this September and take San Fran by storm!

Thanks for your vote of confidence, Abby! I got to talk to Justine the other night on the phone for nearly 2 hours and she confirmed her love of it. It really makes it worth all the time it took. ? Hope your Monday is off to a great start.

Thank you Lauren for the most amazing scrapbook EVER! We will treasure it forever and ever and ever. I have many gifts from you and have kept every one (from pillows to notebooks to amazing cards, etc) but this one is the most special. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. xoxox

Thanks, Monica! I was in the same boat as you. The last time I had really scrapbooked was in high school after one of my mission trips. Our family went on vacation one winter and I spent the entire time cooped up in the cabin, working on the scrapbook. Suffice it to say, I was burnt out at the end and needed a 13 year break. Ha ha. It was fun to get back into it, though, for a spell!

Thanks, Ingrid! I appreciate you taking the time to look through the pics. And what are you talking about? You know you would create some gold-leafy-scrapbook-goodness if put to the task. ? Happy weekend to you, also, friend!

Every year I was gaining more and more photos and I got to the point that it was so overwhelming so I decided that I would make a 2 page lay out for each event and then place them into a scrapbook and date it with the year and it works great I usually pick a week or two and pick pictures, print them out in different sizes, take over the dinning room table and get busy and every free moment is put to scrapbooking, my husband understands I only do it a couple times a year so he puts in extra effort in laundry and dishes to help make up for the stuff I am neglecting.

Ha ha. Yes, those babies just keep coming! ? Well, I hope that when the time comes, you can return to scrapbooking in such a way that it is really a life-giving and not too overwhelming. Give yourself permission for the scrapbooks to be simple. (Easier to say than do, right?)

Summary: The Emma Stebbins scrapbook measures 0.3 linear feet and dates from 1858 to 1882. Compiled by Stebbin's sister, Mary Stebbins Garland, the scrapbook includes artwork, biographical material, photographs, and printed material.

Mary Stebbins Garland was the sister of sculptor Emma Stebbins (1815-1882) who was active in Rome, Italy and New York City, New York. Stebbins was the first woman to receive a public arts commission from the City of New York and is known for Angel of the Waters on top of the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park.

Today, as another installment of our Canon USA collaboration, I want to share the entire process for hunting down, printing out and scrapbooking our memories from our first year of marriage. I made a scrapbook of a whole year of life (a busy one!) in just a couple of weeks.

I want my albums to fit on our bookshelf, with all the other books, and to not hang off the edge. So 8.511 is what I went with. It was a little more challenging to find the supplies and I had to do a little customizing, but it was worth it in the end!

Which album size do you like most? They all have advantages! 1212 is the biggest and has the most supplies available in stores. 8.511 is awesome because you can print your vertical images full bleed without cropping off much at all.

Layout 5 is a fun solution I came up with for mixing in my instagram photos. I use page protectors filled with tiny 22 squares (meant for coin collections) to store printed instagram photos and small bits of paper. Layout six is a pocket page that fits my album.

I spent about 24 hours resizing photos in Photoshop, making collages and printing them out onto 1319-inch photo paper. The Canon PRO-100 was of course great for the quality and rich contrast, but it also made it super easy for my bigger prints.

I spread the photos out on our giant dining room table (in two layers) to snap this photo. Probably the most satisfying part of this whole process except, of course, sharing the finished album with Jeremy!

This step was surprisingly simple. I trimmed my photos, adhered them to white cardstock and slipped them into pocket pages. I wrote a little journaling on most pages, but only wrote out a long story a couple times in the book.

Here are the coin pages I was telling you about. I fill them (sporadically, not completely) with 2x2inch photos, bits of patterned paper and little fortune cookie sized notes. This is also a great spot for memorabilia.

This is my final page. This constellation paper (and most of the paper show in this book) is from the Sunshine Edition of Project life that we designed (core kit + 1212 papers). I like ending each album with this simple little thought.

This is just what I have been looking for to make an album. Questions: what did you use to adhere the pictures to the cardstock? What are the different sizes of pictures on your layouts? I like and want to use the layouts but not sure what size pictures to have printed out. Thanks!

Quesion:

What type of adhesive are you using to stick the photos to the cardstock? Some that I have used in the past has made the photo and the card stock bow. Great tutorial btw!!!! Thank you for taking the time to do this!!! Looking forward to the next one.

This latest storage method feels 100% organized and accessible, which is a big deal, especially when it comes to finding that one random sheet of paper that has the little llamas all over it. Just kidding. I only wish I had that paper.

It drives me a little crazy every time I see those uber-organized craft rooms with wall-to-wall Sterilite containers with horizontal drawers. Ah! The wasted space! (To clarify: I say this for paper storage. Plastic Sterilite organizers are super handy in other situtations, and I use a bunch throughout my craft room for other items, just not paper.) 152ee80cbc
