DEPT: Civilian
RANK-REQ: Probationary Foundation Staff+
The Scientific Department is the research arm of the Foundation, dedicated to investigating and documenting the properties of anomalous entities within the Foundation's facilities. Our team of researchers conducts ethical and responsible experiments to advance the Foundation's knowledge and understanding of these entities. The Scientific Department prioritizes the safety and well-being of researchers, test subjects, and the wider community. We utilize cutting-edge technology and methods to gather and analyze data, and our findings are shared with other departments and external partners to drive innovation and collaboration.
The Scientific Department is responsible for researching, developing, and implementing containment protocols for anomalies within the Foundation. They conduct this research through experimentation with Class-Disposable personnel, typically accompanied by Combatants in a 1:2 ratio. However, in some cases, Scientific Personnel may conduct self-testing on less hazardous anomalies without Combatant escorts.
Researchers conduct their duties by first passing the Student Orientation, then by request of the Research Board, they will join in a team that will have a specific duty and goal to complete for their research, all teams are subjected to their own specific duty and goal to achieve within the Scientific Department as to advance the Foundations Research and develop new ways to contain/terminate hazardous anomalies contained by the Foundation.
Interview
When a researcher conducts an interview with an anomaly 1 on 1.
Small Test
When there is 0-1 Class - Disposable present.
Moderate Test
When there is 2-4 Class - Disposable present. And 0/1+ spectators.
Mass Test
When there is more than 5 Class - Disposable Present and more than 2 Combatant personnel.
Termination Attempts
When a Researcher conducts a test in the means to cause ethical termination of an anomaly.
Cross-Testing
When two anomalies come into contact during a test. e.g: "SCP-714 & SCP-049"
