codeBage built Scout — Seller Profit Calculator (the "App") as a commercial application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our App.

Information We Collect

The App uses the device camera solely to scan product barcodes. Camera images are processed entirely on your device using Google ML Kit and are never transmitted, stored, or shared.

The App does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.

Data Stored on Your Device

Scan history (product details, prices, profit calculations, and personal notes) is stored locally on your device using an on-device database. This data is never uploaded to our servers. You can delete all stored data at any time from the Settings screen within the App.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services that may collect information:

• Google AdMob — serves advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data in accordance with Google's privacy policy. Learn more: https://policies.google.com/privacy

• Google Play Billing — processes subscription purchases. Payment information is handled entirely by Google Play and is not accessible to us.

• Google ML Kit — processes barcode images on-device. No image data is sent to Google's servers.

• Google Gemini API — when AI Insights is enabled by the user, anonymized product data (title, price, category, and rank) may be sent to Google's Gemini API to generate recommendations. No personal or device-identifying information is included in these requests.

Internet Access

The App requires internet access to look up product information from publicly available web pages and to serve advertisements. No personal data is transmitted during product lookups.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App or on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
