So I have been furiously chasing birds for the last few years as my wife Dee and i traveled the country several times in an Airstream. Each place we'd stop, I'd research where the most likely place was for me to photograph birds. Didn't matter if they were asleep, catching their lunch, or flitting from tree to tree, I wanted to capture them all. Over time, my skill at this art this has gotten better. Nowhere near a professional, but not quite a novice either.
My modus operendi was to post them on facebook to share with my friends. I just assumed everyone would be interested in seeing an Osprey eye up close, or a few ducks vacating the area as the human traffic got too much to bear. Action or no action, didn't matter, I shared everything.
Eventually a few have stated that if I'd made a Calendar of birds, they'd be first in line to purchase. Dee has said that if I wasn't making a profit with the camera gear I have, then I wouldn't be allowed to get more. As a former teacher, she's got that stern eye look down pat. Hopefully I'll be able to add to my paper route and lawn mowing money and get a few more toys down the road if I can put a few of these Calendars together before Christmas. Wish me success.
