At Eze Castle Integration, he successfully managed 120-160 projects annually across seven office locations. He also hired, trained, and developed team members while providing both strategic direction and daily oversight. His work included leading service implementation teams and creating improvement initiatives that helped integrate system-wide processes and procedures. The projects he managed covered a broad range of needs, including cloud migrations, hardware upgrades, voice implementations, office buildouts and relocations, and colocation projects.
Scott’s contributions at the company were recognized when he became the Winner of the Eze Castle Founders Award 2015.
Earlier, Scott served as Director of Information Technology for Racepoint Group, a company that provides integrated communications services to clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. In that position, he managed the strategy and execution of IT operations for the company’s global 175-person communications agency, with offices in 7 cities. He supervised the implementation team and worked closely with leadership and outside vendors. His duties included negotiating, outsourcing, and consulting on vendor contracts and service agreements.
Scott also spent five years as Director of Information Technology at Todd & Weld, a 75-person Boston law firm. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, he helped ensure that technology supported the firm’s productivity, security, and bottom-line performance. His responsibilities included systems planning, disaster recovery planning, contract negotiations, vendor relations, and software and hardware purchasing. He also participated in monthly management meetings and worked closely with the Executive Committee, the Executive Director, and other managers to advance the firm’s IT goals.
Scott's earlier hands-on IT experience began at Donovan Hatem LLP, where he worked as a System Administrator for five years. There, he managed a 160-user network that included servers, switches, firewalls, phone systems, hardware, software, peripherals, and user support. He also completed major system projects, including adding a new ISP and BGP, implementing VMware and EqualLogic SANs, upgrading the phone system, and implementing an online backup solution. In addition, he planned and executed a remote office in NYC and helped plan and execute the Boston office expansion to an additional floor.
Scott attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he earned his B.S. in Sport Management in 1998. In 2001, he decided to study computer science at Clark University. There, he developed a deeper understanding of networking platforms and earned both A+ and Network + certifications.
Outside of his professional life, Scott Robinson of Andover enjoys a wide variety of outdoor activities. His interests include fishing, hiking, crabbing, scuba diving, skydiving, bungee jumping, snow skiing, water skiing, boating, and rollerblading. As a youngster, he spent a great deal of time in Cape Cod, where many of these interests were first encouraged. He also played hockey and lacrosse as a child.
Scott ran the Boston Marathon twice, preparing for each race with 16 to 20 weeks of training. He also enjoys concerts, sporting events, and traveling with his wife, Belinda. Over the years, he has driven cross-country and backpacked through Japan, Thailand, and Europe, including England, Ireland, France, and the Netherlands. He has also lived briefly in Seattle and spent a summer interning in New York City.
