What is a Ceilidh?
Ceilidh dancing is very easy and simple, and the “Caller” will call out instructions to the music so everyone knows exactly what to do next, and itʼs so much fun for both total beginners and experienced dancers.
スコットランド？ケイリー？
スコットランドは英国の北部に位置する英国連邦を構成する1つの国です。 タータンチェックやゴルフ、ウィスキー、など、実は皆さんの身近にもスコットランドゆかりのものがあります。「蛍の光」もスコットランド民謡です。
ケイリーは、スコットランドを始めとするケルト文化圏で古くから親しまれてきた、ダンスや音楽、歌・詩など (お酒やおしゃべりも! ) を楽しむ社交の場です。ケイリーダンスは現代でも結婚式や学校のパーティーなどのイベントで踊られています。
シンプルで簡単にな動きが多く、Caller(コーラー)と呼ばれるダンス指導者が動きを説明するので、ダンス未経験者でも楽しく踊れます。

The Scottish Ceilidh Dance is such a simple dance that anyone can dance it - walk, take hands... You don't need to worry about what to do, as you will be walked through it well in advance and taught during the dance!
スコットランドのケーリーダンスは歩いて、手をとって・・・そんな簡単な誰でも踊れるダンスです。何をするかは事前にしっかり歩いて確認し、ダンス中も教えてくれますので心配いりません！

The Scottish Ceilidh Dance is a dance with someone new every time, so you don't need to bring a partner. Invite someone new each time and enjoy meeting new people!
ケイリーはその場で相手を誘い、踊るダンスなのでパートナーを連れてくる必要はありません。毎回新しい人を誘って新たな出会いを楽しみましょう！

Not at all!
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes without heels. Everyone will be walking together, so it can be annoying if you step on people in heels!
Bring your water bottle - you swear more than you think.
ヒールのない動きやすい靴と服です。みんなで歩き回るので、ヒールで他の人を踏んでしまうと大変です！
また、思った以上に汗をかくので覚悟を！
水分補給の水もお忘れなく！
