I am a PhD student at Newcastle University, UK (2020-Present). I have an integrated Master's in Computer Science, Newcastle University, UK (2016-2020).
My current PhD project is titled: Security and Privacy of Farm and Companion Animal Technologies.
Pet technologies are relatively new, but seeing increased use. Despite this growth, the security and privacy of these technologies remains an understudied area, potentially leaving users of them at risk. Because of this, the project focuses on varying aspects surrounding these technologies, including:
An analysis of the security and privacy of animal-based apps
A user study looking into the security and privacy concerns of pet tech users
My supervisors are Dr Maryam Mehrnezhad, Information Security Group, Royal Holloway University of London, UK, Dr Matt Leach, Newcastle University, and Dr Charles Morisset, Newcastle University.
My Previous work has focused on the privacy concerns and preferences of smart building users.
