About Me
I am a PhD Candidate at the Department of Economics at the University of Exeter in the UK. My research interests include behavioural economics and applied econometrics. I will be visiting the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Melbourne between March and June 2025. I will be on the academic job market in 2024-2025.
I am currently working on projects related to behavioural biases in belief formation and belief updating. I use large-scale observational datasets to understand how individuals make decisions under uncertainty. I also work on projects related to dynamic panel data and novel statistical biases.
In my job market paper, I use data on elite sports to test for the presence of a behavioural bias in belief updating. I study if fans of elite sports correctly incorporate information about athlete performances into their predictions. I show that fans do not fall prey to the hot hand fallacy in their decision making, but instead correctly weigh information about past performance when making predictions.
